Mr. President, you are not making America stronger—you are breaking the alliances, institutions, and democratic values that have protected our country for generations. By insulting trusted allies, questioning our commitments, and treating longtime partners as enemies, you are leaving America more isolated and less secure. Strength is not measured by how many friendships you destroy or how loudly you demand loyalty; it is measured by whether the country is safer, more respected, and more united. Under your leadership, we are becoming none of those things.
At the same time, your actions repeatedly serve Vladimir Putin’s interests. Every division you create among Americans, every doubt you cast on NATO, and every conflict you provoke with our democratic allies weakens the united front that has constrained Russia. Whether this is intentional or the result of reckless leadership, the outcome is the same: Putin gains while America loses.
You were elected to defend the United States—not to dismantle its alliances, fracture its people, and advance the ambitions of an authoritarian adversary. History will remember whether you changed course or continued helping Putin achieve what he could never accomplish alone.
